What the Physical Edition Includes
The Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition bundles everything released for Ghost of Yotei into a single package, and it is the version most physical collectors will want on the shelf. Sony's official announcement confirmed the Complete Edition arrived on PS5 on October 1, 2026, with Asia, Australia, and New Zealand following on October 2. Before buying a disc, confirm the exact contents printed on the case at your retailer, because regional packaging and on-disc versus download content can vary.
| Content Item | Included in Complete Edition | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ghost of Yotei base game | Yes | Atsu's full campaign across Ezo |
| Echoes of Sekigahara expansion | Yes | Story expansion in Ashoro Foothills |
| Most Wanted mode | Yes | Roguelike survival, 4 characters |
| Legends multiplayer | Yes | 4 classes, co-op missions |
| Digital Deluxe bonuses | Yes | Multiple deluxe edition items |
Players in parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand get access on October 2, 2026, not October 1. If you buy a physical copy early from an importer, the new Patch 2.0 content may not unlock until the regional date passes.
Physical vs Digital Comparison
Both versions contain the same content, but the shopping experience differs in ways that matter to collectors and day-one players.

| Price | Varies by retailer | $69.99 (US) |
| Day-one access | Depends on shipping/store stock | Unlock at midnight local time |
| Resale or lending | Possible | Not supported |
| Storage needed | Smaller install footprint | Full download |
| Content on disc | Verify with retailer listing | Immediate, tied to account |
| Pre-load | Not applicable | Supported before launch |
Choose Physical If

- You want resale or trade value
- Your internet is slow or capped
Choose Digital If
- You want to play at midnight launch

Existing Owners
- You can buy the Complete Edition Upgrade instead
- A free October 2026 update adds Patch 2.0 features
- Photo Mode and Beauty of Yotei arrive free
If you already own the base game, the paid Complete Edition Upgrade typically costs less than a new physical copy and still unlocks Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
How to Buy the Physical Edition
Follow this sequence to secure a legitimate copy without overpaying.
Confirm Your Region and Date
Check whether your region releases on October 1 or October 2, 2026, since this affects when new content unlocks on the disc.
Check Official Retailers First
Search major game retailers and the official PlayStation site for a Complete Edition listing rather than third-party marketplace sellers.
Verify Box Contents
Confirm the listing mentions Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted, and note whether any content is a download code instead of on-disc.
Compare Against the Upgrade Path
If you own the base game, compare the physical price with the digital Complete Edition Upgrade before committing.
Install and Patch
After installing, download the latest patch so Most Wanted, Legends matchmaking, and all October 2026 update features are active.
Because Complete Edition stock varies by region, some marketplace sellers inflate prices at launch. Compare at least two authorized retailers before ordering.
What You Are Actually Getting on the Disc
Beyond the packaging question, buyers should understand the scale of content in the box.
| Mode | Type | Player Count | Highlight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base campaign | Open-world action | Single player | Atsu hunts the Yotei Six across Ezo |
| Echoes of Sekigahara | Story expansion | Single player | New region, heavy weapons, Mythic Tales |
| Most Wanted | Roguelike survival | Single player | 4 characters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, Jin Sakai |
| Legends | Co-op multiplayer | Online co-op | Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, Shinobi classes |
| New Game Plus | Replay mode | Single player | Ghost Flowers, new vendor, extra Trophies |
Most Wanted is a single-player roguelike survival mode with escalating bounties, a perk system, Kill Streaks, and Ultimates. Jin Sakai returns as one of the four playable characters.
Before You Buy, Confirm:
- Your regional release date (Oct 1 or Oct 2, 2026)
- The listing includes Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted
- Whether any content requires a download code
- The price compared with the digital Complete Edition Upgrade
- The latest patch is installed after first launch
