Sony released the Complete Edition globally on October 1, 2026, with regions including parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand receiving it on October 2, 2026. For collectors and players who prefer physical media, this is the first PS5 disc that contains the full Atsu experience on one format.
The disc includes the following content:
| Content | Included on Disc | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Ghost of Yotei base game | Yes | Open-world campaign |
| Echoes of Sekigahara | Yes | Story expansion |
| Most Wanted | Yes | Single-player roguelike survival mode |

Price and Edition Comparison
The US PlayStation Store lists Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition at $69.99. Physical disc pricing typically matches the digital standard edition at launch, though regional retailers may vary.
| Edition | Price (US) | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Complete Edition (disc) | $69.99 (MSRP) | New players and physical collectors |
| Complete Edition (digital) | $69.99 | New players who prefer digital |
| Complete Edition Upgrade | Lower paid tier | Existing base-game owners |
| Free October 2026 update | No cost | All base-game owners |
New Players
- Buy the Complete Edition disc or digital
- Everything in one package
- No prior ownership needed
Existing Owners
- Use the Complete Edition Upgrade
- Do not rebuy the base game
- Free update still applies separately
Collectors
- Physical PS5 disc includes all major DLC
- Retailer availability may vary by region
- Confirm region lock before importing
Do not assume October 1 applies everywhere. Parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand received the Complete Edition and Patch 2.0 content on October 2, 2026, one day after the global launch.
What the Free Update Adds vs. the Paid Upgrade
Not every October 2026 addition requires buying the disc or the paid upgrade. Sony split post-launch content between the free Patch 2.0 update and the paid Complete Edition package.
| Content | Free Update | Complete Edition / Upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| Photo Mode additions | Included | Included |
| Beauty of Yotei mode | Included | Included |
| Additional free cosmetics | Included where applicable | Included |
| Echoes of Sekigahara | Not included | Included |
| Most Wanted mode | Not included | Included |
| Digital Deluxe content | Not included | Included |
| Additional Trophies (paid content) | Not included | Included |
If you already own the base game, open the PlayStation Store and check whether the Complete Edition Upgrade option appears on the game page. That route is significantly cheaper than buying the Complete Edition disc outright.
