Buying Guide: Step-by-Step
Follow these steps to choose the right purchase path and avoid overpaying.
Check Your Library
Open the PlayStation Store and confirm whether you already own the base Ghost of Yotei. Existing owners qualify for the upgrade path instead of full price.
Compare the Options
Review the Complete Edition page and the Complete Edition Upgrade listing side by side. New buyers should take the full edition; owners should take the upgrade.
Confirm Regional Pricing
Verify the price in your local store currency. The $69.99 figure reflects the US PlayStation Store listing.
Verify the Launch Date
Confirm availability in your region: October 1, 2026 globally, October 2 in parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Download the Free Update
Regardless of edition, install the free October 2026 update for Photo Mode additions, Beauty of Yotei mode, and related free Trophies.
The paid Complete Edition Upgrade exists specifically for existing owners. If the upgrade price plus your original purchase totals less than $69.99, the upgrade is the mathematically better route.
